Hi. You may need to continue with oral or topical medication for a long as you are prone to acne, if it returns after stopping treatment. It is better to use either Differin or RetinRetin a micro gel Retin a micro gel pump Retin-a-A, not both together. They are both synthetic retinoids and using them together will increase the risk of side effects such as redness, peeling and irritation. As they are both very effective it is also simply unecessary to use both. If you feel that you warrant more than topical preparations, speak to your doctor about taking oral antibiotics in addition to using one of these topical retinoids.
