Wow, this is weird because although I am only 32 I recently went to have my hearing tested because I noticed severe hearing loss.  My hearing tests came back fine.  I am now thinking there is something going on with my hearing from all the pain meds.  I've never heard this before!  Is it permanent?  It doesn't seem to actually affect the inner workings of the ear since I was tested and came back okay.  Yet I still find that daily I struggle, constantly having people repeat themselves and raising the television to abnormally high levels.

Well we are addicts, and not following the directions on the bottle is what ended up in rehab, i dont think proper use, will cause it.But at one time for more than 2 years i was on 300mg of oxy and 100mg of perc's per day. that is massive, and I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed it.

Is this substantiated by anything? Anything I've ever seen says it's controversial, and seems to only occur from massive abuse. Not from sticking to your prescription.

Remember, the medical community says grilled meat gives you cancer too. I don't believe that for a second.

I have hearing loss and I think it is due to also being at loud concerts many years and if the drugs you take have tylenol in them they are well known for causing ringing in the ears, etc. that could affect your hearing..
