COFFEE

I never realzied that these drugs were what has caused me to not care about coffee anymore until i just read some of the comments on here.  That's interesting.  Wonder why?  I still love diet coke, so why not coffee?  Not that it is earthshattering important, but it is interesting.

I do hope i can get thru withdrawl shortly.  I am a dang basketcase if i don't get my "fix" every 4 hours of hydrocodones.  2 at a time no less.
I never dreamed this would happen to me.  I have been on these things for 7 years........I still need pain meds but basically, i think i would rather just have the dang pain (back) than to live like this.

I live near Charleston SC now. Have you ever checked on suboxone? I may be a good choice for you. Google it and read up.

Thanks about the tip on Clonidine.  I go to the doc in August and i reckon i will COME CLEAN with him at that time.  I can't go to detox that is for sure.....cost and my family doesn't have a clue about my problem.
I guess if others can do this so can I.  My problem about going thru withdrawl is my elderly mom lives with me and I have to tend to her and take her wherever she needs to go, so i can't be sick as a dog on withdrawl if she has appointments she has to keep, etc.  ya know?

What state do you live in by the way?  Are we allowed to ask that question?
I'm In the Indianapolis, Indiana area.

Just curious, you don't have to answer.

Betz...I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but you should try and get your doc to prescribe clonidine. It's a BP med that helps greatly with many of the WD symptoms. I was amazed at how much it helped me.

My problem is, i am an insulin diabetic.  If it weren't for that, i probably would hardly eat at all.  Like you, i wanna keep empty so i will get the best 'buzz" i guess.......
this is ridiculous.  I want to get off this stuff soooooo bad, but i am not one to hang in there when things get tough.  I'm scared.  I am going thru here looking for that Thomas Recipe.  I have seen it before but i didn't print it out and i should have.

So, you are totally clean now?  Good for you!  Hope you stay that way.

Strange isn't it?  about the coffee i mean?  i still like everything else, except, i use to eat popcorn every night of the week for years and now that i am majorily hooked on hydro's i don't eat it anymore.....i'm afraid if i eat it at night it will take away my "high".....so, i don't eat anything after supper.  However, i don't really have a "high" anymore....just a "peace".  a FALSE peace i might add.
I feel so awful that i have gotten to this stage.

The reason I quit eating and drinking a lot of stuff was because I wanted to keep my stomach as empty as possible when I took the pills. I'd take a couple, and make sure not to eat or drink much after so that I would get the best high for the buck. I'd pretty much fast all day, and binge after my last dose at night. Probably why I have gained so much weight. I've noticed that after I've gone clean, I don't have sweet cravings anymore. I still occasionally eat something sweet, but not like I used too.
