I love Kenny Chesney.I don't know the song, but I'm going to look for it.When I was on my first couple of days of withdrawl I sat down and his song Don't Blink came on the television, it gave me such inspiration.I kinda related my addiction to a really long blink. Thanks for the post.Peace.
Oh I love that song, Don't Blink!! It makes you really think. Are you going to see him at Heinz Field in June?
I think the other song is on the I Will Stand CD.
I listened to the song.Cried like a baby but it was a good cry. Thanks for sharing that.Peace.
I know what song your are talking about.. Before I became addicted, my ex husband was an acholic and I heard that song and it just made me cry now I listed to it and it is me... It is weird how life changes.
Same here. I've been with my husband for 11 years ,he's a recovering alcoholic 3 years clean,I've been an addict for about 3 years. There is a song called 'The Good Stuff',that used to remind me of him when he was drinking. If I would have heard this one back then I would have thought of him,but today when I listened all I thought is thats me.It is weird.
A couple of other substance-abuse related songs of note:
Salvation by The Cranberries
Girl on L.S.D. by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
White Lines by Grand Master Flash
THAT'S A VERY GOOD SONG,I LISTEN TO DAILY.ASLO THERE'S A SONG MOVING ON,I FORGOT WHO SINGS IT
Rascal Flatts. I love that song too!
