Do any Doctors know what I can ask my Dr. for withdrawals on Vicodin?

I'm trying to find out what I can ask my Dr. what kind of meds I can ask for withdrawals on trying to get off of Vicodin? I have been on these medications for about 2 years and I know that I'm addicted to them.  I'm not going to lie about my addiction, or try to make it sound sugar coated.  I'm just plainly addicted to them.  There has to be something that they can give me to help with the withdrawal on getting off these terrible medications, that I was prescribed.  Please help???  I'm going to see my Doctor on Thursday. so if you can give me some kind of idea on what to ask I would really appreciate it.   Thank you, Jesse, logon name is Logon

I second the motion for clonidine. It will probably have the biggest impact on reducing withdrawal symptoms. There's some more info on my profile page if you're interested. Just click the blue Ga Guy link to the left of this post.

Well this is a patient to patient forum there are no doctors here.

I have been off of vicodin for over 3 months. I would ask for clonidine and something to help you sleep.

How many do you take a day??
