Do we have any members with graves dease

My husband just found out Thursday he has graves disease . The Are going to use iodine radiation to kill off his thyroid has any of our members been threw this .I would really like some insight what we are in for between the and our oldest have seizures its been a really bad week .I would like knowing  that anyone has to offer,

tryying thank you he took  his pill  this am and so far so good he is up stairs we are all down stairs he is a bit sleepy but over all it is going great I was really worried i had know idea what to expect

my friend from work has graves disease. I know that they used radiation to shrink her thyroid and it worked. She only has to take a small amount of thyroid medication now. She worked through the entire process and had very little effects. I think it will work out fine for your husband too. I hope it will all be just fine for you all in the end.

Graves no, but a friend had their thyroid irradiated because it was so hyperactive. She does just fine on thyroid meds.
I'm sorry to hear about this. As if you don't have enough!

Hi Avis, I am sorry to heard this, I dont know much about graves disease apart from what I have read about it. It is quiet a complex disease.

All I can offer is thoughts & prayers for you, your DH & your Kids :)
