Headache help?

Now that I don’t have my handy little pills to turn to I need ideas on how to get rid of a headache.  It’s not a migraine yet but I could see it getting there.  Any ideas??  Last time I thought I could “take one for real pain” but we all see how that went.  Don’t want to do that again.

I get horrible, two-day migraines sometimes and I take a prescription for Fioricet...It has Tylenol, Caffeine and Butalbitol. It is not a narcotic, but I believe the Butalbitol is some kind of a sedative...It has never made me feel high or made me feel anything like euphoria, but I think some people abuse it or get addicted. I'm not sure why, or if it makes some people feel like the painkillers made all of us feel...It works so well!! I am going to go do some research on it, to make sure I'm not recommending something to you that will get you addicted all over again, hun, but it's always worked so well for me. The make Fioricet that has Tylenol and Fiorinal that has Aspirin ( that's the only difference I think). They also make Fioricet with Codeine and Fiorinal with Codeine, so make sure you tell the doctor NOT to give you the ones with Codeine...I take the regular ones without Codeine and they work just as good. I hope that helps!

I get 8 day migraines that's how I ended up in this vic mess, anyways I've been getting relief from Petadolex from the natural healthfood store it's a form of butterbur but it has to be called Petadolex because that brand filters some of the toxins out. Otherwise 2wks ago I started Topamax 75 mg so far it seems to be working really good.

You can't win, you want to stop the pills but the pain just increases

I tried Excedrin Tension headache... It seemed to work.. the only issue is I only get my headaches late in the day or evening.. and the caffeine keeps me from sleeping... but if you are getting yours during the day or are not overstimulated by caffeine it may help you

Gosh, Im trying to remember what someone told me about migraines.  There is an herb, I believe it starts with an "F" but not sure of the name.  My friend gets migraines so bad and I told him about this stuff years ago.  Im going to ask his wife if she remembers what it was.
