Alltel.............now i guess Verizon just bought them out.
I have been using att for years now and I have not had any major billing issues and that adding services without prior consent is totally ridiculous.
I've been very happy with T Mobile..I get a nice discount through work, which helps (we have 3 phones on the plan) and my son working for T Mobile helps when it's time to replacfe the phones.
I still hate 'em. I hardly ever use mine..I'll call my kids in Georgia with it and that's about it. My wife is constantly calling me on the blasted thing, particularly when I'm on my way home from work..which is my "quiet/unwinding time"..Listen to music and relax.
I hate talking on the phone anyway. Much of my day at work involves talking on the phone. Unfortunately, I have to carry a cell phone for work and thjat one rings a lot (it's ATT) to the point that sometimes I just wawnt to toss it out my truck window.

I hate technology !!! I have the same beat up old phone .......I've had it for 6 years or more.......I don't care about all that cr@p and I wouldn't use a blackberry if you paid me. I am happy with my beat up old samsung or whatever it is......It is so beat up and all I ever hear is what? huh?......lol. my friends hate it and btch me out all the time to get a new one or give me their old more updated one's and i wont take it. I'm not big on talking on the phone......I have 3000 minutes a month and have never used more that maybe 300 minutes.......My own server laughs at me and tries to get me a cheaper plan......lol. I use t-mobile......they su ck.........
My husband uses Verizon and he likes them
Is anyone using any of the other carriers? I'd like to get an idea if they're just as bad...when my contract is up, it would be grand to have hope of a better world of phone service!
I have Sprint too and I have so much trouble with them.
Which provider do you use?
And isn't that ridiculous? You're responsible for cancelling services they give you you DIDN'T ask for. That's what I've got happening as well. So that means a car dealership should be able to ship cars to people randomly? I'd have ten cars piled in the back lot at this rate after giving up on fighting with their sales department trying to get them to pick them up. :)
i'm still amazed at a fax machine.
I can So relate to that. i just got one a few weeks ago and it has so many applications its, insane!!
My sister has had one for a while and she still can't get the hang of it. her husband makes fun of her and said its not a Blackberry until she uses it correctly, its a Blueberry.
We have to call almost every month here. They do these promos on all their feature stuff, text messaging, internet services, music etc. It is OUR job to cancel but I have already told them NOT to add anything. As for the blackberry it is too small numbers and all and i refuse to put on my bifocals to see the phone. I barely know how to turn mine off and on. My kids text me and i want to ring their necks!!!! have to get my glasses on to see the message. I could read the alphabet on a ants butt a mile away but not up close!!!!! I need a phone the size of my beagle!!!!!
I am militantly opposed to text messaging. I can't see the purpose of taking five minutes to type something you can say in less than 30 seconds unless there's a bloody good reason for it, like the person is at a play or at a funeral.
Also, if I want to make a note of something, I use this curious invention called the PEN. Five minutes entering a note on my blackberry, or 10 seconds of writing it down? No challenge.
The worst thing is I can't go two months without a billing error or dispute. I finally told them to lock my account; no changes without written authorization. In the last six months I've found that they've activated text messaging or internet services on my phone without my permission.
Does anyone else go through this? Every three months you have to call your phone service to tell them once again, they've over charged you for SOMETHING. I use sprint, and I'd switch but I bet it's no different anywhere else.
LOL..You are on your own with that...I can't even figure out my cable remote..
Thanks Guys,
Glad to see that I am not alone. My hubby's phone is permanently attached to his ear so he wouldn't know what to do without it. I used to hate talking on the phone, but I have gotten a little too fond of text messaging. I am going to figure this thing out before it kills me.

my wife calls mine, ms berry, the other woman. ;-)
I'm another one that hates technology and I work for a large technology company...I wouldn't know what to do with a blackberry. I hate text messaging, I hate cell phones period, and I have 2..one for personal use and one for work use.
I don't understand how old folks who buy this stuff learn how to use it. I recently bought a plasma TV and Blu Ray Dvd player..I think it would be easier to learn how to fly a 747 than to run those things.
My son works for T Mobile, selling phones, and is always filling me in on the latest...my eyes just glaze over.

I just got the blackberry Pearl a month ago. It works much better than the Palm centros we had, which gave us endless technical problems. I suppose that's what made them a great deal. They weren't any good. :)
I still haven't bothered to learn all the pearl's functions yet. Who has time to read a manual? Soon you'll need a manual just to eat or go to the bathroom, at the rate we're going with technology.
lol...i hate technology...
