And, I'm not saying raises are stupid, but some of the things companies spend money on - just blows me away!
Our company informed us no raises this year and many people are upset about it but I look at it like at least I have a job right now! Our company is in the black in a very positive way, but they are trying to avoid any problems down the road. I think it's smart. Wish more companies would think ahead and stop spending so much money on stupid stuff.
as stated above, I love my job...except today I find we're getting 5% cuts in pay...better than getting laid off, I guess. I'm calling all our debtors and tellin them our payments will be cut by 5% and told the missus when she goes grocery shopping to tell the clerk to cut 5% off the price. We'll see how far that goes.

At this point, I would be thankful to have any job at all...
Well I dont know how it works there but in NY they will pay for daycare. There are so many kids out there who could benefit from ur love. There are so many foster parents out there who are just in it for the money its such a shame. I thought about doing that but there are 4 kids in my house already lol ohh and 2 dogs we have another addition to the family and my Mollie has a new cousin to play with lol.

Yes, I am actually looking into it here in Utah. We have to go through a training process first. I think it would break my heart to have them coming and going, but I love children so much! I wouldn't mind adopting a whole family of children either! But, I would have to be able to afford to stay home. So, that's been a dilema for us since right now we both have to work. But, I am considering it! And, thanks for telling me I'd be a GREAT mom! Children are just amazing! Thanks!!!!
Janet have u ever thought of fostering? You would make a GREAT foster mom??
WOW all these "I love my job" ......I certainly see you were not part of the poll....they were saying 90% or more people absolutely HATE their jobs......
Where is all the HATERS....lol. Good to see ya'll love your jobs, for sure......:-))
Nauty.......
I absolutely love my job. I think attitude has a lot to do with it - but I work with some great ladies! My boss is wonderful and fair!
However, if I could do my dream job - wow - a couple things come to mind. One would be an interior decorator. Another would be a journalist. Another would be a cardiologist's nurse (surgeon).
But, the best job of all for me would to be a stay at home wife and mom! I have always wanted a house full of children! That would be a dream for me! :)
I love my job...I'm a customer service escalation engineer...get involved in Customer Satisfaction issues that have been escalated up the chain to me..I wouldn't do anything else, but thet older I get, the more I want my job to be sitting on a rocker on a farmer's porch in Georgia, sipping on a tall glass of iced tea.
Ohhhh lol thats the last thing I wouldve thought=)
A Barista makes all that great Coffee, like Starbucks, etc. Yes, they have title, and a cute one at that.......I think making a great cup of java is an art. I can't do it to save my life. No matter what I do ...it tastes like convenience store bought.....grrrr. I can even screw up espresso?.......My roomie calls it "Texas Tea" oiy!!

Whats a Barista? I like where I work Im very lucky its very tough being the bookkeeper in this economy though and I dream about bills at night lol. I would love to volunteer or work in animal rescue at some point in life.
I always wanted to be a lawyer but ended up in furniture I don't work now and I can honestly say I would rather be working

I enjoy my job title, but I don't enjoy where I work. I'm a barista and I've worked at the same place for a year, I have developed relationships with many of my customers, and when I leave I'm really going to miss them. Unfortunately, the stand I work for is very slow, and I can't afford to work there much longer. Plus, my hours just got cut because of new owners.
Being a Barista is fun though :)
YES I love mine !!!!!!! Both of them !!!!!! I am very lucky !!!!!
