so.... I went to my PM Dr. today, and I'm right back where I started. 140 10/650 perc's, 30 Zanaflex with 5 refills and 120 Somas.
I know I shouldnt but everything OTC I tried in the past 10 days offered little or no relief.
Guess I'm an addict for life :(
Thanks to everyone for your prayers and kind words while I was in withdrawls.
Hands down the hardest week of my life. I guess "week" (weak) is the key word in that sentence
I'm in the same boat with the back pain, after 7 days clean. I am going to look into steroid shots. Has this helped for anyone? I'm also going to give Physical Therapy a shot. I always cast that idea aside when all I cared about were the pain meds, but now that I have to handle things a different way I may actually give it a chance. Who knows...it might help.
good advise, THANK YOU youre a sweetheart
Thats great.........9 Days. You are detoxed. Please tell your PM Dr. tomorrow that you don't want anymore narcotics. You can do it. There are a lot of other non narcotic prescription drugs he can give you. I herniated 2 discs in my back in the 90's. I gimped around for a year. But I was never prescribed any narcotics.Thats because it was before all these states came up with patients rights to pain management.Because of these new rights.Doctors who can't get a job anywhere else, start clinics and just push pills. It's a billion dollar business today.Start you off on the oxy's.Then methadone. Then they cast you aside like you are a sleazy drug addict. The pain pills are not going to make your back better. They are going to make it worse. Please try to go to a legitimate Doctor, find out what is wrong with your back and seek a real treatment that is going to heal your back. Not just make you forget about the pain and make it worse.
Please don't get upset with me.I am trying to give you an option to get out of this opiate hell. There are millions of people who deal with severe back problems without opiates .
You have made it 9 days, keep it going. You can do it.
Be strong tomorrow,
