Just fed the whole family raw chicken

Question

So I was making chicken parm for dinner ,I buy my chicken pre cooked in strips and put sauce and cheese over the top.I ate at least a 1/4 of it before hubby realized chicken strips were not fully cooked not even close . I looked at the box that said they were pre cooked witch they were soooooooo not .
Thankfully kids and hubby did not eat to much .so now we will have to see if anyone gets sick. GRRRR.

wicked ty for posting the odd thing if this was really rare beef it would not bug me at all i love my steak rare, yummy. However I prefer chicken white NOT pink LOL

ga - lol @ chugging eggs.  that sounds sooooo horrible :P

avis - i hope no one gets sick from that!  the same thing has happened at our house, but we all seem to have weak stomachs no matter what we eat/how it's cooked!

I have done the raw eggs many times as well and always been ok .If it happen it happens not much i can do now . thank for the help.

I've eaten raw chicken by mistake thousands of times, and it's never bothered me. I also eat raw eggs (some salad dressings, etc..I'm not chugging raw eggs)..and it's never bothered me. I think you're probably OK. I dunno if penicillin is even used to treat salmonella. I think you all will be fine. I'd just probably be on the lookout for vomiting or signs of any illness. Maybe one of the nurses on here can comment??

well daughter is 15 and my son had only had about a bite . I can give her some penicillin ? would that work . What do you think i should to i ate the most by far.

How old are your kids? If they are very young you may want to get them put on an antibiotic as a precaution. Salmonella is not very harmful to adults, but it can be deadly to younger people and the elderly. Just a thought?
