Thank you for taking the time to answer this. I have told you many times "You are a very wise man" and you have shown this once again. I really enjoyed reading your thoughts on this subject.
This is not a comment intended to cause a religious didpute here. I believe what I wish to believe just as you are entitled to believe what you want to. This is not a statement meant to ridicule any religious belief. I respect your right to your faith or belief just as I expect you to respect mine.
Life is something that is handed to you through an act of love. There are other ways that life is created but the basic precept is love.
Once you have it and eventually grow into awareness it is how you live it that says whether or not you will leave a footprint behind in the sands of time. From birth to death there are many obstacles whether it be addiction to drugs, alcohol,sex, money etc. You can overcome these obstacles as a step forward towards living what society expects of you. Society has different perceptions on what life is. When I say society I am speaking of every nation in the world whether civilized or what we term as uncivilized. All have their own perceptions as to what society is. Life is living as we are expected to do, so say the different religions.. I am somewhat of a rebel and I have chosen to live my life as I wish. If it coincides with the expectancy of society, fine if not, sue me. What is the meaning of life?" That depends on the individual. As you all know, life is made up of an energy that controls our brain which, in turn, controls our body. Once the body is gone this energy must find new home. Some religions say it goes to heaven, some say it comes back as a cow, others say it goes to a planet which you will then rule over, some say it comes back as reincarnation. I could, of course, continue on in this vein for the remainder of my life time and not cover all of the different places and different assumptions. I say assumptions because no one has actually died and come back later on to tell us where they went and what is there.To me life is like a school. We go in and out of all the classrooms moving from grade to grade until we finally get our diploma which takes us into our final home. We may live many lifetimes in many ages until we reach the final stop. What that is, who can really say. Preachers, Priests, Rabbis, Buddhists, atheists and so on all say they know the answers but which of them is right. Like I often say"This is my opinion" and you have the right to question it or not, as suits you.
