Last nights private practice did anyone see it ?

I Don't know how many people here watch private practice .Last Night one of the the doctors was BEATEN BADDLY and RAPED .She had her  Hand Wrist Nose Eye Socket broken. She needed 15 stitches in here arm all without any pain meds because she was an addict and she was allergic to local anaesthetic.It was so hard to watch and my own conflict with pain meds and watching her conflict with them as well.Finding myself wanting to yell at the TV for her to take something but understanding her fear of where it would lead .I just wondered if anyone saw it .

Yes you are right it was 50 not 15 and when yes she agnozied threw the first few I wanted to cry for her and thing normally dont effect me that way .

this is maryrose705 i also saw the episode it was shocking! I'm in recovery but would hve asked for the needle that they use to numb the area around the wound at least! that would havebeen to painful for me! At least 50 stiches she said!

I had alot of the same feelings u did and when she was screaming whenthe doctor stiched her up it was just painful almost like she thought she should have to suffer threw the pain as self punishment .Next weeks will be interesting

Hey...I happened to see it and I generally don't watch that show.

I wanted her to take the pain meds!  But,we have to know,a person could not go through that kind of pain without fainting!!  Why be tortured???   Just get some general anesthestic for few minutes and get the job done!!   It was over the top dramatic...

What I really noticed was the other female doctor who had been in the bar with everyone drinking,playing pool etc...and she turned out to be in the program (AA) as well.

Me?  I couldn't hang out in a bar if I was a drinker. I just know it!!  I also agree with taking pain meds when they're NEEDED.  I hate suffering...for myself and others.

They portrayed the conflict very well though. But,can you imagine a doctor putting up with that screaming while they're tring to suture someone??  OMG!!!
