sub study update

Hi Gang,   Hope everyone is hanging in there and those who need help are indeed finding it.
I have been off of sub now since Sat. p.m.   I have literally been a mess.  Was at the study docs yesterday, a bawling mess.  He said, you can do this.  I said, how long?  He said a couple of weeks..  I had no clue with the suboxone it would be like this.  I was so dumb.  But, i am hanging in there.  I have to say it isn't near as bad as the cold turkey from hydro codone was.  I just pray everyday will get easier.  I want myself back.  Good wishes to each of you on your journey.  TJack

Well, i have been in withdrawal.   Anxiety, depression, legs hurting and not sleeping good.  The suboxone doc gave me some trazadone for the sleep, boy does that stuff knock you out and leaves me in a fog.  He also gave me some
hydroxyzine hcl for the anxiety.  That helps alot.   He told me I would not be right for a couple of weeks?  Can you believe that?  I wasn't even on a high dose of the sub and tapered pretty quickly.  I just didn't have a clue.  I was an absolute mess yesterday and also on Saturday at my daughters.  I had to get out of bed at 10 that night, grand daughters crying, don't go and we had to come home.  The dr. told me I just needed my safe zone.  He told me to go home and hunker down in my safe zone.  So, here i am.   I didn't know if I should be busy or what.  I just know I don't feel like doing Jack.  Thanks for asking.  I guess some people just go through this.  It isn't as bad as the cold turkey was with the hydro though.   I am hanging in there.  I appreciate your concern.  I will keep posting.  I will make it.  I think i will be a little better everyday.  Best wishes.  TJack

Hi @TJack, I know this is like 10 years after you left this comment...I hope everything worked out well!

I'm 29 and have been on Suboxone since August 2016 after becoming addicted to opiate pain meds due to a spontaneous collapsed lung. I am weaning off the Suboxone now - started at 16mg per day, now down to 4mg per day (2mg in AM 2mg in PM). It has been an up-hill battle, but I am SO MUCH HAPPIER than I was when I was addicted to Oxycodone!

It's really like night and day - I hope to continue down this path to full sobriety.

Thanks for your post - hope you are doing well, and I hope that my post can inspire others to seek treatment.
