time is a gift

its been a while since i have posted, hope everyone is still clean and working toward their goals, i have enjoyed the extra time in my life since spending less time on the computer and more time away from the screen
i have actually cancelled membership at my other recovery forum, and the two ems forums, it was a huge leap for me,(very addicted to these forums)  i found these fourms a couple of years ago and joined so many, i spent atleast 10 hours a week on them, having an extra 10 plus hours a week has granted me the opportunity to buy a keyboard and start taking piano lessons,, i have managed to find the only part time position left in my career choice, its a measly 30 hours a month but medics usually work 12, 24 and 48 hour shifts takes the focus off my kids, i promised my sponsor i would do more na service work which i have yet to fullfill, i am attending naranon on friday nights then eating with my girlfriends, i started crocheting however everything i make seems to be very verticle, i have been taking the kids to their activities, my youngest started breakdancing, too cute, my neighbor talked me into taking yoga with her, i do not enjoy it, moving across the country feels like one big adventure, something i could never do using, i am gratefull for this site and the time i have spent here, with grace i now have the opportunity to explore the wild west, gratefull for my time away from the southeast but miss my family and friends, thankfully my dad is willing to fly again, i will be pick my parents up from the airport tommorow night, so thats what i have been up too, in a nutshell, i wish i was one of those people who could check a site every now and agian but for me i join a forum and i am on it all the time, not a great way to spend my time

I'm exactly the same I follow 11 forums and read them everyday, the only time I'm away from the computer is if I've got my grandson or I'm at the gym or if I've had to go out for some reason. But I find it such a great help in my healing and I,ve met so many great people across the other side of the world.I'll be honest I thought a lot of Americans were conceited but I've obviously only met the wrong ones, everyone on this site are the most down to earth people you could ever meet.I,ve never wanted to visit the US now I'd love to get over there and meet the people I've been talking to.  Denise

This addiction forum and the tramadol forum are my new addictions as well.I get so attached to the people on it and worry for the new people who seem so desperate.I just want to help everyone who posts if I can.Just experiencing the wd symptoms and knowing that they will pass helps others. It really can't be worse than tv or video games. At least we are helping others and keeping ourselves occupied.I do have a full time job and work long hours, but spend all my free time on these forums. No one at my house seems to be concerned and chuckle at my new addiction.
