Do the people who abuse this drug realize what they are doing to those who really need it? Studies show that 99% of those who are taking this for pain do not abuse it. Because so many do, those of us that function in spite of illness may be denied what we need and do not abuse. Seems pretty selfish to me. Next time you think about crushing, snorting or injecting this drug, think about those who are truly in pain and whom you may be screwing.

:) its sad that this person obviously has so many issues that they feel the need to try to attack people who are willing to admit their problems and try to change! At least we know what we are and we have the strength to try! Everyone on here is strong because we are willing to attempt change!

U right bama I I was sent to pain management after I got hurt. I am disabled from my 40 foot fall they Tryed to say I b on pain pill the rest of my life not saying that they got me addicted but they dident help even when I told them I whanted to stop I just quit going  now 23 day clean and I hurt but it just telling me I still alive

lostmakeupgirl. don't take your opinion back...i mean it. and everyone knows oxycontin was designed for terminal patients in the beginning. and if you need oxycontin to get thru your day. i think you dependant. and what's the difference from dependant than addiction? a word. a word. you'll still go thru detox and withdralwls. 99% is just ignorant. obviously this person needs to justify their use. this person just posted and ran. come out come out wherever you are fourfer. i double dog dare you.

Well said bama! Bama has really been helping me as I detox I love all the support that there is here and if I offended any sorry just do not appreciate anyone trying to make assumptions about any of us! We all have a story and struggles and I fully believe that we can overcome this battle together! This forum is all I have: I have no family or support system except for this and do not want to see it ruined by people who do not understand or want to aid in the recovery efforts being made by each of us!

some people get off on feeling like they need to justify why they take pain medicine when deep down inside they know they don't need oxycontin. so don't let this one rude self justifying uneducated person get to us. there will be a day when they can't get their fix that their body has learned to depend on..yet that person will beg a low down drug addict for help. this is a person i wouldn't spit on to save their guts if they were on fire. but one day. one day they will be begging for help too. hope fourfer has the best day of his/her life by picking on us. i hope his/her doctors cuts them off cold. then he/she will get it then. time is on our side.
