Pet Peeves
What are some of your biggest Pet Peeves? Here is just one of mine:
Always, when I am running late and in a huge hurry, I inevitably get behind some Slow Poke driving in front of me. Usually driving below the speed limit. My departed Daddy would say, "Out for a Sunday drive". The signal ahead would turn yellow. Then, the idiot will floor it, and just barely make it through the signal. Of course, I am stuck behind at the red light. Then, when the stinking light turns green, I catch right up to him, driving slow as molasses!

When I hold a door open for someone and they don't say Thank You. I always say You're Welcome very loudly when they don't say it.
When I flash my lights for the trucks to show they have cleared me and can move over in front of me and they don't flash back
When there is a community food (chips, etc.) and people lick their fingers between handfuls--YUCK!!
Phoenix, I am a total germaphobe and can't even stand people touching anything that I might ingest, No community food for me! (I just always assume that no one ever washes their hands. Ewww!)
Dig, real people tend to bother me at times too...unless they are cool and of the TD variety! ;)

Yeah I could never understand bar room peanuts, jeezus I used to cringe watching people reaching for them!

I am a germaphobe too do I have to always stop myself and question if it is just one of my idiosyncrasies. I have a friend that I just can't share food with. Every time there is a bag of chips (think Cheetos, Doritos, honey mustard pretzel nuggets) she LICKS every one of her fingers before putting her hand back in. It is sooooo disgusting and annoying. I really don't understand how people can do that and think it is ok.
My other issue is "close talkers" (that may have been a Seinfeld). You know the person that whenever you have a conversation they INSIST on standing 6" away from you? And when you backup, they move closer?
Almost as annoying as the "soft talker" that insists upon whispering-- even in a loud, crowded room and you really have no idea what they are saying....

How bout being at a HUGE family gathering....like Thanksgiving.....you've watched what all the different people are doing BEFORE dinner....i.e.,
blowing their nose and then not washing their hands......using another person's restroom....no soap or hand towel in there so what does THAT tell ya???? And then you all gather round....hold hands and pray!!!

Sometimes I just would like to be BOLD and tell EVERYBODY to wash their frickin hands before we eat, ya know??? But if there's no soap or towels in the bathroom....I feel like EVERYTHING I touch is slathered with GERMS!!! OCD??? Maybe....but I don't think so!!

I have always had trouble eating at other people's homes. When I was a kid it made life difficult because I would want to do the sleepover thing with my friends, I just didn't want to eat at their homes.

Oh and I get teased all the time about the time when we had travelled to a cousin's wedding for the weekend. On the way home I was very hung over and asked to stop because I thought I was going to be sick to my stomach.
My bro in law stopped at a restaurant where I went into the washroom but it wasn't very clean so I passed on using it.
That restaurant became known by my family as the "place that wasn't good enough for Pat to puke in". Sorry for the p word, lmao.

COMMUNITY LEADER
People who live off the system and are fully able to work but claim they cant. They bring in gas vouchers, fill up their nice new cars all the while talking on their smart phones with their professionally done nails.
People who put money in their mouth and then hand it to me. grossssss

You sound exactly like my roommate. I hear this same rant every night. You must have the same job. I don't know how you/she does it. I would either be in a Psyche Ward, or in jail, charged with murder.
I have seen people at gas pumps hold one finger over one nostril and blow their snot out right on the ground..I just want to puke or slap the crapp out of them..How GROSS!!!..I hate people who are on my ash while driving Over the speed limit while I am going the speed limit..I just get so mad that I pump my brakes off & on and yell out the window for them to get off my ash..That is a big pet pee. Yes, and when or if I ever go to a fast food place and I see them handling money and then making my food I will tell them to keep it..I do not need your germs. People who handle money and go make a sandwich (without gloves on) just drives me crazy and should be reported. And when at the store and the sign says 10-20 items and you have someone who has about 1000 items drives me nuts. I just glare at them..Oh, if looks could hurt..I get mad because the checker should tell them that this is the express lane..Gezzz Can't they read. When some one calls you on the phone and they are talking to you and all of a sudden they are talking to the people at their house leaving you hanging or forget that you are listening..I just hang up..And maybe this is not a pet pee but it hurts because I now see true colors. Because of my Stressful situations I got going on right now, I get people telling me they love me and they are here for me, only to turn and start taking about what they had for dinner or there past that I have heard or been there during all of it... They say they care but they are so into just Them Self's. Put up a front when others are around but never back there play..Oh well I just do not even Call or PM/E-mail them anymore. I know they have their own life but when it is someone I have known for most of my Life, and I have always been there for them, this just hurts to me bad...Ha! Pill Friends or Real Friends..I guess I know now..lol What about someone who chews there Gum like a Horse eating grain..Chomp, Chomp until your ears hurt. OR someone who says Black when you say White. Someone who is just to lazy to go to work, but if you say you have worked doing this or that, they have done it all..They know how to do anything..Then why are you not working you dumb ash..Oh, It does not pay me what I am worth..Get real!!!! I would work any job because I always like to work and I sometimes did not care so much about the pay rate..Well I guess this is long enough..I am sure we have so many that we can write a book..lol

One of my sisters and I have the "same" challenges with a particular brother-in-law of ours. He's very similar to one of Vic's descriptions above. We now have an "inside joke between us"....and I'll never ride behind a KIA vehicle again without laughing......KIA "Know IT ALL"...LOL
I'm with Sarah on the cell phones in the check out line.
But to take it further, I cant stand the cell phone obsession in general. Everywhere I look people are walking and texting with there heads down. The future generation will all have neck problems from hunching over and looking at the phones for the majority of the day. I go out to eat and see a family...all looking down at there cell phones...no conversation...kids included. People blocking isles at stores as they chat it up...grrrr! At the movies and people want to check there messages and the backlight is so distracting....I hate the cell phone obsession!

Oh, I totally agree ABN! Especially about the people blocking the aisles in the grocery store while they yak it up! Inevitably, they are always in front of something I need. It's all I can to not to smack em upside the head!
Yeah, I would have to say the phone operated human is definitely at the top of my very long list. I feel the corporations own the phones, facebook, google, and the big shots sit in a tower with their remote control guiding each generation more and more. Eye contact? Undivided attention? What about 3D friends to sit and share your stories with? Where did it all go? I think that any technology that makes us feel isolated or takes away from human interaction is a pet peeve for me. Especially when my daughter puts in her ear buds to stop listening to what I have to say!

I do not understand why people cant come into the station to get a pop or whatever and leave their damn phone in the car. WTF is going to happen in 3 minutes............

Sarah, I woman was pumping gas recently around here. Her husband came out of the store and was joking around and flicked his bic to scare her. The explosion killed her and he is in critical condition. I guess stupidity is another pet peeve.
When they have the 5 mountain summit bike rides in these mountains, I don't mind a group of bikes taking up the whole road. I smile and am glad to see them out and follow patiently, hay trucks on a pass make be glad to have some quiet time. But the stragglers are still peddling and ride just in the car lane, when there is a 3 foot bike lane a foot away. I pass them in my extended cab full size pickup as fast and close as I can to blow them over into the bike lane, works every time.
