Successful withdrawals.

I posted a question on the other forum to all those who had successfully withdrawn from addiction. Perhaps those of you, who have completed the journey, can view the questions and give, on this forum, your answers. Hopefully it will help those who are thinking about or going through withdrawal.

Hey!  Just as I hit to post I spotted your banner at the bottom of your post.  Congrats on 1987 days!  That's fantastic!

Ok, I've got to ask.  And please, PLEASE, do not take this the wrong way, it's is most likely just an inability to connect all the proper circuitry in my old brain after too many years of 'recreational' behavior.  But if you use Suboxone to detox from something don't you then have to later detox from the Suboxone?  I'm probably missing the point, but when I read up on it I came away feeling like I would just be switching one DOC for another.  Again, don't think I'm being sarcastic or flippant, this is a sincere question.

I'm shocked you have no replies to this subject. I have to say I couldn't handle the w/d's and I detoxed with Suboxone. It was a great treatment program which really taught me a lot about addiction. It's not the cure all for everyone but for me it worked and I'm still clean all these years later.
I hope more people share to help others out!!
