i started seeing one when i was a teenager, then stopped around 27, the only thing this doctor did was put me on matience drugs and anti-depressants
infact she told me that i would never be able to live without sub or methadone, i believed her for a long time
medhelp does have an addictionoligist, dr. j, you can ask him questions, what to expect from this type of doc.
just be careful, doctors give up on addicts, see them as hopeless and suggest to that they make a life long committment to matience, like what happened to me, for someone who wants off all drugs this can be an issue
doc j is helping me with another issue i have he is a great doctor and will help anybody who ask, he is a big fan of the suboxone but if you do not want to go that route he also knows other treatment options
