Other Addictions - please help

Since this question is not about substance addiction I am posting it here.  My boyfriend is a recovered alcholic.  We have been together over two years and he is either addicted to me or his ex-wife or both.  We have spent most of these two years together but he cannot get her out of his mind and will not stop talking to her.  I told him he has to, or he does not love me enough.  He cannot move the relationship on to total commitment while she is in his mind. He says that "loving enough is not an issue, that I don't understand the addictive personality.  Is there anything I can do? I love him so much.

I agree with trippedoutgirl, is there a reason why they divorced? maybe he didnt want out of the marriage and she did...he needs to decide one way of the other, it is not fair to you or her. take care, I will you the best.

Only he can do this for himself, He has to want to cut away from her. Many people leave each other and become best of friends. They just cant live together while married. He needs to make up his mind to who he really want s to live with and move on. Good luck and GOD bless.
