vicaddict...nice to see you back here..I'm "the guy" mentioned above who was wondering how you were doing...back months ago when I was just reading this forum I was following your story.
Jim
Hey you,
I remember chatting with you about a year ago, well, like you, I'm back. I quit for a while but last summer I caught a nasty parasite made me so sick with perging everything to horrible migranes. Then came the vicodine. I was taking Flagyl so I couldn't drink while taking the medication. I stayed on it for a month and then got Novcitol and washed that down with several glasses of wine. I ran out of the medication and have been off for about a month. I still drink, more regularley than before.
I believe when I was going through withdrawls the last time you recommended lots of baths. It was really helpful. I dont know anything about librium but I wish you the best of luck in sorting everything and getting your family life back on track.
Good luck my friend.
The librium is going to take the edge off. It balances your body chemicals some how. That is why it is libri or libria....the balancer. Congrats on the big step!!!!!
I am not thinking right today.....the name of the beta blocker is the generic for:
Inderal ( Propranolol) 20mgs 2x's a day, that is what I take.
I forgot to add, I do take a beta blocker but not for BP, it is for my anxiety/panic disorder. I do not feel any difference though in taking them.
:(
Hi hun;
Great, thank you for the advice and information. I did already check with pharmacy and my current meds. There is no interaction. If I do end up using the librium I of course will not take the clonazepam, I do not want to be overly sedated.
Also considering going to a walk in as well.
Thank you so much, and I hope you are doing well!
Huggs
Sorry, I missed the part of your friend giving them to you. If they work, call your doctor and let him know. If you have to go into a walk-in clinic, I would do that. I think they will really help you through this.
Librium is a mood balancer and a sedative. They give it to addicts to keep them feeling the worst of the c/t. I would definately take them and because of withdrawal you will have a hard time sleeping anyway. I would google librium and make sure it does not counteract with any other medication. Your doctor should know the meds you are on and I would trust him. Librium is given to alcoholics during the dt's and after of course. I am rooting for you.
God Bless,
Tim
I have tried Librium before and it makes you very sleepy. It would be good to take at night when you are trying to get some sleep. I'm just starting to taper my oxys today and already feel awful and it's only noon. I would really like to go cold turkey but no one knows about this addiction and I'd really like to keep it that way. I have a good job and a lot of responsibilities in the community which I have no idea how i'm going to be able to keep up without my oxys. I'm also going to try the thomas recipe, I'll try just about anything. keep in touch
Thank you hun...how are you doing by the way???
I have alot happen since I posted last. The custody case went very badly and I am now from an 8 yr single parent to a weekend extended parent. There was no abuse, no neglect and they said it is a cut and dry deal, we get shared pacement. However, dad who has not been around in 8 yrs maracously snowed the Gaurdian Ad Litem and she thinks it is now time for dad to form his bond he never had. I went from frull time parent to only getting my son from fri-mondays. They have him the remainder, not only that they ripped him from his school here of 4 yrs and placed him in a school out by dad and the wicked step mothers. 45 mins from me they live.
Step mom has switched all drs for my son and refuses to tell me who they are. I had no lawyer and got railroaded. My medication never came up, thank god but it may as well have.
So things have been really hard here for me, sunk into a deep depression, and now more than ever I want these pills out of my life and my kids lives.
Love ya girl, thanks for the response!
Tracy
Hey there, this is so weird. Did you see the post on the other forum yesterday where a guy was asking about you? I thought it was so nice that he was thinking of you and wandering how you were doing. If you did not see it, it is a post where someone was wandering where all the old posters had gone.
Now to your current situation, I am afraid I have no experience with librium but I believe it is used for bipolar disorder? I am pretty sure that is correct. I am not sure how that will help with withdrawals. I know people have to have their blood monitored while they are taking it; however, I assume you would be on it for only a short period of time. What about Clonodine? That is what everyone says to take - I have heard many people say it helped them very much, it is a blood pressure med, a serious one. Next, just to say how very proud I am of you - you are very brave and I wish you THE VERY BEST. Good Luck.
Love, Cindy
