I start tomorrow.  Fladdict suggested that i start with 1 pill every 4 hours.  Take 4 pills and if i have to 1/2 of another one.  No more often than every 4 hours.
She says in 3 days go to 3 pills.  1 every 4 hours.  Do that for 3 days.  I have clonidine so when i start getting really edgy those are suppose to help and i will buy immodium tomorrow.
I am not quite understanding your schedule.oh, i've got it now.  You have your total left of your pills.  I should do that also.  I have 90 now.  Good luck to you and all of us.  I pray we can do it.  I am signed up for a suboxone study but it doesn't start till Sept. 10 and i hope to get it done this way if I can.  Lord I pray I can and you and everyone else too.

Hi
I hope this tapering works for you.  Let me know.  I have been trying to do the same myself and keep failing.  Each day I promise I will start tomorrow.  What a nightmare.  I have been on vicoprofen 10 a day for 2 months and want off.  Keep me posted on your progress.

Welcome to the forum.  There are alot of very nice and supportive people on here.  I'm here for you any time... if I'm not on immediately, just post and when i log on i will reply as soon as i see your post.  Yes, if you are only taking 50mg a day, i can't imagine it being that bad to get off of them.  I would say the withdrawals will last about 2 days or so. I would definitely get off of them right now.  As time goes by you need more and more to get rid of the pain for one and two to get a better high.  Quit now while you have the chance to.  I was up to about 500 to 550 mg a day of oxy's and percs and let me tell you i wish i would've gotten off them when i was only taking 50mg.  I haven't had one in about 33 days or so but I've been taking one methadone a day to make me feel better and it's been working.  I wish you all the luck in the world and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Take care and hugz,

Lil.  :)

Thanks marcatj--
I called my doc today.  I asked to go off of percosets and back on to norcos i was originally started with.  He gave me 70 and said if this didnt help he would recommend a neurologist when they were gone.   So basically I am done when these are done.  I still have some pain but I think I can handle it without pills.  But you know, love the buzz.  What does anybody think i should do to manage a tapering?  I must say that I kicked heroin cold turkey 10 years ago and it sucks, so i imagine a 2 month perc addiction won't be that hard.  Anyway tthanks this has been a helpful forum.

2-4 days for the physical w/d's... just gut it out... the emotional (depression, anxiety) will last a bit longer... but you can get thru it.  there are things you can take to help you with this.

let me know if you need that info...

good luck!!! you can do it!!!!
