wanting to find help

I use meth on a daily basis and I want help, but afraid of losing my kids. How can I get help to stop using without feeling the threat of losing my kids? I don't want to go to a rehab and afraid to use government health aide. How can I do this with total privacy, if that's even possible?

There are methadone clinics that will provide the meth at lower doses in order to help you get off of it. No one will take your children if you are trying to break an addiction. My daugter in law was on it for a couple of years. You must test clean from all other drugs in order to get help.

I couldnt help but comment and give a little advice. PLEASE DONT WAIT TILL ITS TOO LATE! if someone was to contact dss that knows you then that would be a lot worse than you just going and saying look i got a problem and i need some help. i dont know where you are from but i live in sc so i cant say for everywhere but i do know that here it is strictly confidential. do you have anyone that can keep your kids so that you can go get some help. ive been where youre at. i only waited till it was too late and i overdosed, (not on purpose) and my child was taken. and thats when you really will lose your mind. luckily my mom got custody and now i get to see him all the time. i didnt change until i decided that i was tired of being that person that drugs made me. you have to be sick and tired of being sick and tired. when i overdosed it was on methadone, not meth. but ive been on meth before too, opioids, speed, crack. thats crack is what made me finaly hit my bottom. i just felt it in my hear to tell you that you are not alone and you can do it. i was clean 1 year and just relapsed on adderal so i know what you are going through. just please go get help. i will be praying for you.

The fact that you are owning up to the fact that you have a problem is a giant step in the right direction. Whether it is meth, oxy or any other drug doesn't matter. The point is that you have acknowledged your problem and are trying to find  a way to deal with it without losing your children. Yoy believe that you are between a rock and a hard place. Go to a woman's avocate or drug counsellor and  present your problem honestly and in a straightforward manner and I am sure they will stand by you as you go through whatever comes. Do this before someone decides that they are doing the world a great service by reporting you. Get a head start on any do-gooder before they get ahead of you. You have to take that chance and if you do the odds will be in your favor. Don't wait. If you are sincere they will sense it and that is a big plus.

sweetheart,
you are endangering your kids on a daily basis. Meth is death. Is there anyone they can stay with while you get help. The government will much more likely take them from you after you get caught using, and you will get caught eventually, plus what kind of life is this for them, to have an addicted mom, they need you. Meth is hard to end CT, you need help to get off of it. Call a substance abuse hotline, and ask them if they know anything about the chances of you losing them if you come clean and ask for help, I would think the fact that you are doing the responsible thing matters a whole lot. I hope you find a way, you sound like you've bottomed out. You're a good mom by just wanting to stop. Now be a better mom and really do it, even if you have to lose them temporarily, it's better than the alternatives. Losing you permanently, or you going to jail, or causing them harm when you're high. Everyone here has had to face the demons, fears, and pain of quitting. It's not an easy road, but you can do it.  Take care and keep us posted, anything and everything we can do to help, we will.
