Librium is a benzoBenzo-o-stetic just like ativan. You really need to ask your doctor about taking librium for any condition. My guess is that if he had you coming off of ativan, then librium would be out as well.
I weaned off Ativan without taking anything but a little less ativan every few days. I did a very slow taper off ativan. Hardest part was insomnia, I took tylanol PM for that and eventually weaned off the tylanol PM, as well.
With a Dr supervision, yes. Librium hepls even you out when things are out of whack so to speak. It shouldn't be a problem, it may be a huge help to you depending on your circumstances.
