allergies

i have allergies to everything i put on my skin including my clothing.  I have been patch tested with the chemicals that they have available.  and i'm still allergic.  more patch testing would be worthless because i have had 4 years to try to figure this out.   It is everthing there is.  I have also lost over 55 pounds.  Is there a disease or disorder doing this to me?

Hello there,

You say you are allergic to everything including your clothes. Have you
been seen by a dermotologist and have you had an allergy test administered by a qualified allergist. What detergent do you use to wash
your clothes? Are you aware that  TIDE detergent is not a good choice
to have sensitive skin. A lot of people are allergic to TIDE detergent,
my allergist told me years ago. Some people get a rash and hives from
using TIDE detergent. It sounds to me like you have highly sensitive skin.
That's why I suggest that you see a dermatologist asap, if you haven't already and an allergist. As someone who has very sensitive skin, I
found both my allergist and the dermatologist very helpful. You may need
to get referrals to both of these specialists from your family doctor.

Since your language skill suggest you are a lot older than 4, did you have a period long ago (say 10 years back) when you didn't have the allergic problem?  If you need to think back further, do that.

Then, if you can find a start time, ask what changed at that time.  The simplest case would be your changed your macro-environment (moved some where distant or moved into a new home... started using some product... ) that could be the cause.

Yes, I assume both you and your doctor(s) have also considered this, but still worth an additional effort, maybe write thing of change down on a timeline/calendar, maybe with just a month by month, not day by day.

Good luck, it can't be easy being allergic to everything.
