severe reactions to hair dye
ive been dying my hair for years and over the past 18 months have started developing reactions after using . the last one being the most severe . patch tests for a product used in salons for those allergic to dyes have also had the same result. am i allergic to ppd ? or could it be some other chemical that they contain ?

The reaction could be due to anything in the product. Since you have been using the product for years check to see if any new additional ingredients have been added, this could account for your allergic reactions. Sometimes even with the same ingredients you can develop an allergy to the product, as the allergy develops in response to a repeated stimulus.
