Thanks for the clarification, I miss read your post. I thought you were specifically asking about eggs. But I did also mean that some restaurants that bread fried foods using milk. (Think of beer battered recipes. Some use butter milk or milk instead.)
Clarification. Dairy is anything made from milk. That would be milk, cream, and cheese in any of its forms (buttermilk, sour cream, etc.). If it does not contain milk in some form, it is not dairy.
@ allmymarbles Breaded foods- are almost always breaded with eggs and possibly dairy. And fried foods are typically breaded first.
10mom336- I don't know about food allergies, but I suggest you talk to your dr about gallbladder problems. Many women have problems with their gallbladder after pregnancy. Typical foods that get upset by the gallbladder are those high in fat (especially saturated fats). I have had gallbladder problems for almost 2 years and red meats, fried foods, dairy (especially full fat), egg yolk, and any thing with high oil or saturated fats (like dark chocolate and baked goods) will make me sick. When my gallbladder acts up I get bloated, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea (yellow, floating stools), and then severe pain that makes it difficult to breath right below my ribs on my right side.
I suggest you try eggs by themselves. Do egg whites make you sick? Do egg yolks make you sick? Keep a food diary and note what kinds of foods make you sick. This will be helpful to show to the dr so they can make a better diagnosis.
Keep in mind that most people have gallstones without problems, and not all gallstones will show up on an ultrasound. If this sounds like you, talk to your dr. You may have to avoid all foods that make you sick and this new diet may be enough. If it's not enough you may have to get it removed. Your dr will be able to help you figure out if it's going to be a constant problem even after a diet change.
I don't understand. Where is the dairy in eggs and fried chicken?
