Hi, welcome to the forum. Yes, sometimes asthma symptoms can be predominantly experienced during night esp. when associated with cough. It is termed as Nocturnal asthma. Wherein drop down temperature or exposure to pollens can be possible triggering factors. Same time exacerbating factors, such as exposure to environmental tobacco smoke, dust etc. should be pointed out and further exposure should be avoided.
You need to undergo certain tests like allergen test, spirometry to evaluate respiratory function test. Even ECG and chest radiograph should be taken to rule out cardiac abnormality. Other conditions like acid reflux, sinusitis should be ruled out.
Treatment includes cough suppressants, a trial therapy with long acting bronchodilators and avoiding triggering factors. I suggest you to consult physician specialized in respiratory medicine for evaluation and prescription and above drugs. Take care and regards.

Asthma can happen to people in many different ways. Sometimes it is just before it rains or only during exercise. It can happen whenever for different people. You have to know what triggers this and if it is room or bed related (does it happen if you fall asleep on the couch for example).
I believe that asthma can happen at night and offend does in children, weather it only happens at night i am unsure about.I am not a doctor but i guess its possible. if you are very worried about it go to a doctor as they will be able to give you a better answer, and if it is asthma they will be able to help with treatments.
