Best test for egg allergy

My 14 month old son had an acute episode of wheezing, rhinitis, cough, sneeze, facial swelling and red blotchyness after a meal containing egg (fairly new food to him), had skin ***** tests which indicated allergic to white and yolk, went to paediatrician and he ordered IgE blood test and RAST he said are normal and his is not allergic - Is he allergic, should he still avoid eggs and for how long, which test is more accurate?  I am now more confused than ever!

I personally would not give a baby eggs at all till they are about two...
I remember reading in a nursing mothers book about 20 yrs ago... OLD HAT maybe??? But who knows!!

Definetly NO wheat products till at least 12months old...
Gluten intolerance is easier to realise at this age and also lets their stomachs gather the necessary linnings to tolerate wheat.
Professor from Warrnambool Hosp told me that 2 yrs ago... when I arrvd at emergency with stomach probs!!! PS I am 55.

Honestly... the best test is (IMO, of course) is for your son to avoid any products with eggs in them for at least 2 weeks. It is VERY important that you follow this diet to a "T", otherwise the results will be inaccurate. If your son has improved after 2 weeks, then obviously I would keep him away from eggs or any product that has eggs in it.
