Hi, welcome to the forum, your symptoms are suggestive of Atopic dermatitis or Contact dermatitis. The allergens can be temperature changes, low humidity environments, xerosis (dry skin), overheating of skin, and exposure to soaps, detergents and others.
Usually allergens are small molecules which can penetrate the layers of the skin and sweating is known to enhance this action.
Topical lotions such as calamine decreases pain and pruritus. Systemic antihistamines (antipruritics) such as hydroxyzine or cetirizine against prescription may be helpful.
Talcum, Aluminum Chloride with Ethyl Alcohol, Anticholinergics or Propantheline Bromide at bedtime can be used against prescription. The actual treatment would be avoidance of the primary allergen.
I suggest you to consult dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment. Take care and regards.
Dennis,
I used Testyourintolerance.com not long ago and the results were dead quick! I had them test my dog against me too and I am intolerant to his fur. I'm also intolerant to diary and certain types of fish we I can now avoid. It was cheap so I didn't mind getting it done.
Hi,
My partner is suffering from a skin problem on her chest and back and is getting nowhere with the NHS.
I've just seen www.testyourintolerance.com, which tests hair samples and wondered if anyone could recommend or comment on this approach.
Thanks in advance for any helpful advice or feedback.
Dennis
