Well, exercise would not be a trigger for you. It is something to discus with your doc. Other options would be cardiac issues. So you can discus all three with your dr - asthma, acid reflux and cardiac problems.

Of course over the internet we can't really say what it is, and I am not a doctor.
It does sound like allergies and possibly asthma as well. What makes me suspect asthma is the heavy weight and cough as well as you felt better on methylprednisolone. That isn't as effective as regular prednesone, but since it did offer some relief it would tell me that you have inflammation in your lungs that it cleared some. I would strongly suggest that you see a dr for the chronic cough and tell him ALL your symptoms. Another posibility would be acid reflux. Severe acid reflux can be miss diagnosed as asthma.
