Hi Drs,
Thnaks for your comments.Much appreciated.
I don't think it is a milk allergy if symptoms are very wide, I don't have diarrehea when drinking milk or gas or stuff, but I have phlegm which thickens (increses) in throat when I drink milk or my whey protein and also burp a lot.
I do get headaches from time to time.
Anyway switched to soya now and not eating chocolate anymore....the rest will atke time though.
Anyway I will go see my GP, hopefully she can test me for milk allergy or lactose intolerence or at least refer me.....she knows about it and she said it is stress...need to try again.
Thanks a lot,
FWK
Hi,
Allergy is a very common ailment, characterised by an excessive reaction of the body's immune system to environmental triggers, known as allergens. This hypersensitivity reaction triggers an inflammatory response, which generates symptoms such as running nose, itchy eyes, skin irritation, eczema or even anaphylactic shock and death.
Although the substances which trigger the allergic reaction are harmless, the human body perceives them as threatening and activates its defence system, causing the unpleasant or even dangerous allergy symptoms.
An individual’s genetic predisposition to allergies will determine which part of his body will become the vulnerable target organ or tissue and even the timing of the allergic reactions.
It is not necessary for this predisposition to manifest in childhood itself. It can start at any stage, even in the latter years and that too, to previously tolerated substances.
Eating the same food for long time leads to an increased sensitivity and makes the body to hyper react, thus triggering allergic response from the immune system.
When you are allergic to a particular food your body initially reacts quickly and the symptoms are very clear.
You may notice headaches and migraines, abdominal bloating or cramps, frequent diarrhoea or constipation, eczema or other skin problems, painful swelling of joints, unexplained mood swings, depression or anxiety, swollen hands, ankles, feet, eyes, face, unexplained weight gain or loss, catarrh, sinus congestion, runny nose or constant fatigue.
To differentiate from food intolerance you need to doan allergy testing.

Hi,
'Signs of a milk allergy that may occur immediately after consuming milk include:
* Wheezing
* Vomiting
* Hives
Signs and symptoms that may take more time to develop include:
* Loose stools (which may contain blood or mucus)
* Diarrhea
* Abdominal cramps
* Coughing or wheezing
* Runny nose
* Skin rash
It's important to differentiate a true milk allergy from milk protein intolerance or lactose intolerance. Unlike a milk allergy, intolerance doesn't involve the immune system. Milk intolerance causes different symptoms and requires different treatment than does a true milk allergy. Common signs and symptoms of milk protein or lactose intolerance include digestive problems, such as bloating, gas or diarrhea, after consuming milk. '

See a doctor or allergist if you experience food allergy symptoms shortly after eating. If possible, see your doctor when the allergic reaction is occurring. This will aid in making a diagnosis.
Let us know if you need any other information and post us about what your doctor advises.
Regards.
