Pressure without pain

For the past 3 weeks or so, I have been experiencing a very uncomfortable feeling behind my eyes, in the temple region, cheeks, teeth, and the back of my head (top of the neck). Although this hasn't been debilitating, it's been a real annoyance. I get bouts of "fogginess" and have slight vision issues. It feels like this is coming from the sinuses, however, I'm not congested. Any thoughts?

Hi,

You could be having vision abnormalities or cervical spondylitis - both of which could cause similar symptoms.

Let us know what your eye specialist tells you and also whether your doctor thinks it could be cervical spondylitis.

Regards.

Thank you for your response. OTC cold and sinus tabs help the pressure, but it still feels like there's helium in my head. My concern is that there's absolutely no pain, or discharge at all. Any thoughts other than sinusitis?

Hi,

Pressure symptoms and vision changes as you have described might be caused by sinusitis and many other problems. It is best that you do not ignore it and visit your doctor immediately. Examination and tests would bring out what may be wrong with then the doctor could give you the treatment.

Meanwhile it would be best if you could try steam inhalation and OTC pain killers for the pain.

Let us know hwat the doctor tells you and if you may have any other questions.

Good luck.

Hi,

You should consult your physician and talk to him/her whether you need to see an ENT specialsit to rule out sinusitis. It would be advisable to get an eye check up done too for any vision abnormalities.

Do yu have any other symptoms? Do pain relief medications and antihistamine medications help?

Do you have any other nasal or vision related abnormalities?

Let us know how you are doing and also if you have any doubts.

Regards.
