Skin Rash looks like Mosquito Bite

Hi,

I am having minure skin rashes especially on my hands. It looks like mosquito  bites ( round and reddish colored ). I never recognise when and why it happened and am sure the place where I reside is  mosquito free.

Itching of very low and negligible severity is there near those spots.... Everthing will disappear in  10-15mins automatically....

I m worried a bit about what this rash is  due to ...??

Long back 3 years ago I had the same issue when I just had a naked hug with my friend .... We didnt had any sex .... Can anyone have idea on this ??

Thanks

Hi, mosquito bites occur in exposed areas of the body. If there is associates itching, it could be Hives, which develop in response to an allergic reaction, by the release of histamine. The allergen can be medications, food, extremes of temperature, exercise and viral infections to name a few. Consult an allergy specialist. First he may do a blood IgE levels to see if they are raised. Next, he will do skin testing. This test is painless, in which a very small amount of certain allergens are pricked into the surface of your skin. If you have allergies, just a little swelling will occur where the allergen was introduced.  Reactions occur within about 15 minutes.  If needed more sensitive intradermal tests will be used in which a small amount of allergen is injected within the skin. Based on this he may plan for immunotherapy. Regards.
