cold urticaria

Hello,

I have cold urticaria and I was wondering if it would be safe for me to donate plasm? The question arises after the donation when they infuse you with Saline. I used to work there and I know that the Saline is usually kept at room temperature. Do you think that would set of my cold urticaria?

Thanks,

Hey. I was wondering how you are doing with your cold urticaria. Do you live somewhere warm? Have you had it long? My posts are about my now 14 year old son who has it and it is so frustrating not knowing anyone else in the area that has it. Please write your story when you get a chance. And also, how did it go with the plasma issue.

Hi,

You need to talk to your doctor about this. Most probably, you would not be allowed to donate blood or blood products if you have a history of cold urticaria.

In any case, consult your doctor and only decide about going ahead with the procedure.

Regards.
