hives

hi,
I am 29 years old woman, recently diagnosed with an allergy problem.no one has a history of allergies in my family .I am getting it treated but in vain. The allergy attack usually leaves my face, head ,chest and arms full of hives, that severely Ich.It lasts for about 15-30 mins and leaves me completely drained and cold.I just can't figure out the cause. My doc says it could be a food allergy ,so i have started avoiding a lot of allergy causing food but it hasnt helped at all.sometimes i just break into rashes after exercising.what do i do? kindly help...

There is a lab called ELISA/ACT that can test your blood and find out which food allergies you have.

Sorry Zyrtex is an oral allergy med. I found I am allergic to a lot of dyes that are in cheaper meds such as Singulair but, Zyrtex is white with no dyes, and I am not allergic to it - so, I take it and it's been very helpful!!  I am curious - do you think being in a dry climate for 4 years is making you more allergic to Midwest allergies now?  I grew up in Illinois - and it's hard for me to go back to visit certain times of the year because my allergies just go crazy!!!!!  What does the VA Hospital say?

p.s. I thank you in advance for serving your (my) country !!! :) Deeds
