If I have idiopathic hives, will they eventually stop appearing on their own?

Hi,

In most cases, idiopathic hives will disappear on their own. However, each case is different, and rarely it may last for a longer time.

Hello,

Many cases of hives are "idiopathic," meaning no cause is known. Others may be triggered by viral infections or medications.

The standard treatment of hives is antihistaminics and steroids.Sometimes they have to be taken for longer durations. But if the hives persist after 6 weeks of treatment also, then it can be a case of chronic urticaria which needs further evaluation as it may be due to auto antibodies.Pls consult a physician in that case.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
