Could be lymph nodes, if he has had an infection that is probably why , they do get larger when there is an infection,you could ask the Doctor but I dont think it is anything to concern about.

Lumps in that area could be a localized collection of fat, a swollen lymph node, an abscess, folliculitis (hair follicle infection) or a neurofibroma (localized harmless swelling in a nerve). In your son’s case they could be related to sinusitis, especially temporal one.
I think you should discuss this with your doctor and get your son examined.
