If Idrink cappucino after a little while I get blocked ears chest tightness and lose my voice and is the same with some cheese and rich ice cream, I accidently had a cappucino with some cheese (goats) chees, I then had blocked ears, chest tightness then my face felt weird my heart raced and I became that I couldn't answer any questions, I went o A&E who said it was a panic attack whic I think was just areaction, I had antihistamine, when it wore off in the morning the heart racingstarted agin so I went to A&E again, today I feel a lot better bt still have a problem remembering some things, your advice would be much appreciated as I feel a little scared. thankyou

Hi, I have had these symptoms due to an acid stomach.  I don't necessarily get the reflux, but if your stomach is acidic, then hot drinks, caffeine and fatty foods, like cheese or chocolate can cause these symptoms. The acid pressure can move into the throat without you realising it and cause pressure in ears and sinuses and sometimes breathlessness and quick pulse. etc.  I would suggest seeing your doctor for some anti acid medication, or over the counter, Gaviscon for instance.  Avoid, caffeine, alcohol, especially white or sparkling wine, tomatoes, peppermint and chocolate.

It could be an allergic reaction if the symptoms have occurred repeatedly with consumption of the same food. Maintain a food dairy to keep track of your symptoms. An allergy specialist may help diagnose.
