To get your sense of smell back, follow this technique for 20 minutes, twice a day for about 12 weeks. It balances your left and right nostril channels(chandra nadi and surya nadi).
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Anulom Vilom pranayam –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 15 to 30 minutes twice a day.
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.

Thanks for ur reply carolyn , iv an appointment for some acupuncher treatment on wednesday , i will keep in touch and let you no how it went.
Hello there!
I am not a doctor, just a searcher myself, But as a massage therapist, I have had some success performing lymphatic drainage on my clients. After performing several treatments my clients regained their sence of smell back. I use a gentle slipstream type method, it's a suction that LIFTS the facia up around the sinus areas. This is performed over the sinus pressure points thus allowing the lymphatic sytem to drain / opening the sinus which helps breathing and lymphatic swelling to return to normal.
I do not know the extent of your injuries but I hope you can conquer this. I know how you suffer, because of some issue I'm going through right now! My smell issues are from tx.
God bless and I hope this helps!
