If you search Amazon I know there are a couple of books on this. The studies were done in Italy, I believe, and were mostly applicable to rheumatoid arthritis, but it's long been felt in many schools of traditional medicine that nightshades promote inflammation. If I recall, they found about 10% of people responded incredibly well to removing nightshades from their diet as to relief from arthritis in the study. Of course, people in Italy have come to eat a ton of nightshades, most of which are from the Americas. The main ones I can recall off the top of my head are potatoes, zucchini, eggplant, tomatoes, peppers of all kinds. Potatoes doesn't include sweet potatoes, which are entirely different. Good hunting.
thank you for that advice i will check Amazon for the books. i will try anything the pain is just getting me down its not helping my anxiety and stress levels at all i think the arthritis and anxiety go hand in hand i am taking B complex allso vitamin c i have to be carefull because of the meds i am on for the rhumatoid thanks again for your help take care.
I have to say that avoiding the nightshades do help me. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis as a couple of many disorders I have. I also am allergic to a couple of them and the recommendation was to avoid all the nightshades for my allergies also; of course, I have to think that it is all a circle of symptoms and disorders.
It is an easy matter of avoiding all of the foods and see if you feel any better.
