mp3 player recommendation

by m1956, Jul 25, 2009 05:03PM
Hi,  can anyone recommend a player that would be appropriate for my 80 yr old dad to be able to use? he just recently went to the nursing home for the first time and most likely will be staying and i would like to find something that he can use without difficulty. guess that goes without saying. he has brain damage from previous sport injuries as well as alzheimers.
thanx

I would suggest the Apple Ipod Shuffle 2nd generation, the Sansa Clip is another (but it has a screen on it, so it may confuse him).   The shuffle  has no screen, but the controls on the front are pretty easy to understand.  There are even less expensive models that are USB compatible.  They have very basic controls.
