I recently went to an ENT doc for Pulsatile Tinnitus and he is scheduling me for a CT scan to rule out an aneurysm. The Pulsatile Tinnitus occurs all the time but I can only hear it when it is really quiet, like when I go to bed. If I sit up, or roll over in bed it gets louder like my BP is going up and then quiets down as I rest. For the last 4-5 weeks I have been having bad headaches and thought nothing of it since co-workers stated they were having sinus headaches from a weird cold. But I am a bit concerned they have been lasting so long and I had an uncle that died at age 42 from a brain aneurysm. The Pulsatile Tinnitus seems to be in sync with my pulse and has been going on for about a year. I get it in both ears but it is louder in my right ear. I also get a ringing tinnitus on occasion but it doesn't last long. I am a 57 YOF firefighter that has some hearing loss from the job. If the CT or MRI that the doc orders does not show anything, should I request additional tests? If so, what tests? Thank you for your help.
