LOL, love your post.  I actually knew a woman (20 yrs ago) who put that on her joints and swore it helped - I DO NOT recommend you try it.  If it worked, it would be published and advocated by now.  
I have not read anything about a synthetic lube or AA but it sounds like it is worth researching so I bet someone out there is doing so.

i have arthritis in both thumb joints. Today a lab tech told me that there is something in the blood called by the nickname AA and is a chemical that the body produces that acts as a lubricant.  He didnt know the long Latin name for it (medical term). Is anyone working on a synthetic lube? im about to drink a can of 10w40
