C-Reactive Protein

C-Reactive Protein

My doctor performed LG-A-C-R/COM/ERY/ANA/ANT/RHE/B.  Everything was in normal range (ESR was 24), except the C-Reactive Protein was 21.83.  My question is:

1.  Can this be due to infection such as virus?
2.  Can this be elevated due to osteoarthritis?

Thank you for your help.

Yes, C-reactive protein can be elevated from any number of reasons for inflammation such as viral or bacterial infections, or arthritis from osteoarthritis or rheumatoid or degenerative.
