High CPK in ankylosing spondylitis patient

I am 27 year old female who has spondylitis.  I recently went in for lab work and my cpk level was at 2000.  For about a month I have been working out with a trainer and in the last couple of days my right hip as been bothering me.  I am getting retested in a couple of days.  My question is on what having a cpk at 2000 means and is it possible that Im just sore from working out.  Also I thought that I should mention I was a college athlete so working out at an intense level is not uncommon for me.
Thank you
Ryann

I don't know what a CPK is,but I suspect that hip pain is one of the first symptoms of A.S.,as it was,in My case, good luck. P.S.,You'll come down with a bad case of otitis, swelling and red eye pain, that Your body is trying to compensate for the inflammation condition of said disease,as it has effected Myself.

I am glad you are going in for a follow up.  A high CPK could mean a lot of different things but needs to be investigated by a doctor.
