Help!?

I am not sure what I have the doctors are not sure what I have, I have had one tell me I have pure sensory neuropathy one tell me no I dont, but all I know is the pain in my feet and my toes is somtimes unbareable and it is not really pain it is buzzing like you toes are asleep or numb constantly all I know is when I take the medication mobic they dont hurt as bad. Does anyone experience this type of problem? I am having trouble with my gastro as well. Does that have anything to do with it? Should I ask my Internal Meds Doc to refer me to a Rheumatologist? If anyone has any suggestions I am all ears please let me know.
Thanks

Thanks, Ada, No she hasn't done any of that yet but she has come back for vacation today and so I am going to call and get an appt to see her to talk to about her about all of this that I have found on this wonderful website and the mayo clinic website, I have printed out a lot of stuff for her to look at and some of the test she can run to find out what this may be. She had ran a lot of test for some auto immune diseases but all of those come back negative so I am going to have her start again. I really dont want to take steroids I seen the afftect that they have on your body because of my husband having to take them for over 2yrs for a kidney disease. I know this is going to take time to figure out what is wrong because I have already been through an ordeal like this with my husband for 5yrs not knowing what was wrong with him and almost losing him before they found out that he has a liver diease that was causing everything else that was wrong with him. I appericate you listening to me and giving me advise on what I can try, this is the only place I have  found that anyone has tried to help thank you again so much

Always remember that we know our bodies best and know that you are not going crazy.  I know we look to our Dr's for answers and it gets so frustrating when they either don't make any sense or they don't have any.  Being in LimboLand is not easy.

Has your IM Dr done any bloodwork to look for an inflammatory process like RA or Lupus?  Or done an ESR to check for inflammation?  I am glad to hear that Mobic is working for you.  I take steroids to help with my inflammation, I have Still's disease and when I have a flare, I don't even recognize my body, it gets so swollen and I get these funky rashes.

Take care Sweetie, and if you need to talk you can always p.m. me.

No thank you for getting back to me at all. Sometimes I just feel so lost in all of this and think sometime I am just going out of my mind. I have seen 2 neuro docs and had 2 EMGs done. One said it was pure sensory neuropathy and the other said it wasn't so I am not waiting on a consult for a 3rd neuro doc but I am not thinking of just asking my IM doc to refer me to a rheumy instead because I honestly think this is what i have. I am on mobic and if I dont take that I feel so much worse. I know I have arthritis in my hips back wrist shoulders knees, so I am certain what  I am feeling is this.

Hello there.  I would definately get a referral to a rheumy.  They not only treat arthritic conditions but autoimmune diseases as well.  I like to call them the Rock Stars of Medicine.  I am curious though why they haven't had you try the med Neurontin or Lyrica for the neuropathic pain?  I am wondering if it wouldn't hurt to have a neuro consult as well for the numbness and buzzing feeling.  It is worth a try.

I hope you get some relief soon.  We are here if you need us.  Sorry it took so long to get to you today.
