Help for uninsured w/ chronic rheumatoid

My wife is now uninsurable, and we cannot afford the state insurance (HIPPA) . I'm self employed, and they say we overqualify for the Remicade offered for uninsurable familys. My wife (46 yrs.old) has had this for the past 6 years and has had both knees replaced and it's now  working on her ankles and wrists. Without the Remicade infusions I'm afraid that this will get worse and do serious damage to her other joints. Any suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreciated. blc

I would try getting her meds straight from the company.  There are a few websites that offer assistance.  My husband is starting Humira (expensive) he get's it free from the company.  As her dr about a perscription assistance plan, we like pparx.com...hope this helps, you can also try other companies by typing helping with perscription drug costs in your search engine.  Hope this helps

Do you live near any large teaching hospitals that may have clinics or clinical trials?  Is the doctor she sees aware of the situation?   Many times, large teaching hospitals have clinics and, perhaps, she could get some assistance there.  I hope something works out for you.
