Hi, you will probably get better responses in The Arthritis Community. Best of luck.
When you stop a medication, you need to shore up your body with something to take it's place. MSM, swimming, Essiac, and anti-inflammatories. Boswellia and Echinacea are natural anti-inflammatories.
Wishing you the best outcome...
Hi dawnington and welcome to the forum.
Very well said by silverfox and I don't believe there would be any withdrawal issues, as "biologics" such as Enbrel do not have this effect, other than the effects of inflammation with all of its symptoms, once discontinued and no alternate treatment is taking its place.
Did you stop the Enbrel treatment because of changes in your health care coverage?
I have done specific research on Biologics, including Enbrel,
and have put together an alternate all natural protocol, that targets Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha (TNFa) one of the main culprits in inflammatory processes regarding RA and many other conditions, but without any great associated costs (biologics can cost $20,000.00-$40,000.00 per year!)
nor any risks for compromising the immune system (the makers may claim
that their newer biologics target specific parts of the immune system-immunomodulators-) however if one studies all the possible side effects
and consider all the warnings, will soon realize that there's still quite a concern regarding immuno-suppression.
