LOL, you can reply to me anytime even if it's a mistake! I'm glad you did actually, I was a triathlete/runner 4 years ago and literally woke up one morning and could not move, my body was like a piece of stone. My knees, hands, feet, toes were so swollen they put my feet in casts to control the swelling. Loooong story short I was dx with ReA and AS. I tested positive for the HLA -B27 gene and from having a UTI with e-coli bacteria I woke up that day with Reactive Arthritis and have since developed Ankoylosing Spondylitis, another type of arthritis of the spine and Sac, joints. It is still mind boggling to me that even after 4 years I can't run or do so many of the things I loved. I take Enbrel now an injection I give myself every week. I tried every natural thing I could read about when first dx but nothing helped. Like you I fought taking the heavy duty drugs but I realized that it is important to be on them to keep the disease from progressing, There is a risk to all of them but I could not take the pain and stiffness any longer and want some kind of quality of life back. I wish you all the best and hope you find relief. Take care.

This same thing happened to me 5 months ago,one day fine and the next morning I could hardly move with painful fingers, toes, knees, elbows the lot, since then I have seen a Rheumatologist and been diagnosed with RA,I was quite shocked because I was up till then a fairly fit person,I asked if this was what usually happened with RA and was told it can be or it can b something that triggers it i.e infection or bacteria.
Worst part is I don't want the only treatment on offer to me,all I am taking is quite a powerful painkiller but I have found a lot of relief from rubbing Aloe Vera gel on my hands and feet as when this flares up everything feels so hot and the Aloe Vera has a nice cooling effect which seems to aleviate the pain somewhat.I'm just hoping the Herbal route way will work in time rather than taking fairly toxic drugs ......
Hope you feel better soon

I have experienced the same thing, sudden onset joint pain first in my right knee then to my left knee then to both elbows and wrists all over the course of a few days.
The doctor said I was neg. for gout, rhum. arthritis or anything else. I started taking motrin 3 times a day to cope. Then I read where Yoga can relieve arthritis symtoms, so I started doing Yoga. The benefits have been stellar! Ive regained motion and dont need nearly as many pain killers as before. Im not cured yet but I feel well on my way.
I hope this helps someone.
